Surveyor Aide

Job Description

  • Ohio County Coal Company, LLC an operating affiliate of Patriot Coal Corporation , is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Surveyor Aide at their Henderson County Mining Complex. This position will provide assistance in measuring and surveying with a high degree of accuracy all aspects of the underground and surface coal mines.           

Required Qualifications

  • Underground/surface mining experience is desired but not required.
  • Total Station and/or GPS experience is desired or possess the ability to acquire the skills to operate.
  • KY Miners ID card
  • Computer literate with experience with AutoCad / SurvCadd, Word and Excel is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills are required.
  • A self starter who can work with minimal direction.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
