This client is dedicated to leading the local and international mining industry in exploration and production.  This is an opportunity for an experienced Occupational Health & Safety  Manager to join with one of Australia’s expanding mining houses. 

The successful candidate will manage the safety and training team and report directly to the site General Manager to ensure information sharing from OH&S field officers to upper-management level.  Excellent communication skills are vital as liaison with various external stakeholder groups is a key component of this role.
 
Other accountabilities include systems development and management including ensuring compliance to relevant legislation and statutory standards.  Ability to think strategically is essential to this position as you cultivate a culture committed to best practice.  Previous experience in risk response and management practices necessary to success in this job.

Degree level qualifications would be highly regarded, tertiary OHS essential and formal training in OH&S and 10 years experience in similar roles are essential.  This is an underground site and as such requires extensive experience in underground operations.   

Queensland this is a FIFO role with an DIDO/FIFO roster and excellent renumeration.  Ability to work within Australian required.
