A well established Australian mine owner operator produces some of the world’s highest grade copper concentrates. With a pipeline of projects secured, they are definitely one of the highest achievers in the Australian mining industry.Due their recent underground mine development, they are recruiting for a Health and Safety Advisor to job their professional team on South Australia.
 
Reporting to the mine manager, you will be primarily accountable for the development and implementation of the Safety & Health Management System used in conjunction with the underground principal contractor. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of safety & health initiatives across the whole operation in conjunction with the health and Safety Department. You will also ensure the safety and health of employees through the delivery of professional safety services and the promotion and implementation of the site Integrated Management System. Delivery in a timely and professional manner of expert advice and assistance on safety matters is key to this role.
 
You must have Underground mining experience and Certificate IV in Safety, Health and Loss Prevention/Risk Management is essential. Your sound knowledge of relevant underground standard operating procedures combined with the ability to read and interpret mine plans.
