About the Company:
My client is a leading coal mining organisation working on exciting mining projects throughout Queensland. Due to the rapid growth of their organization they now have vacancy for an office based surveyor with lots of scope for career development and progression.
 
The Role will involve reporting to the surveying superintendent and providing survey support to the mine operations along with a high level survey reporting and volume calculations using data captured by pit surveyors' and field technicians.
 
Skills and expertise of the surveyor include:
  • Experience as a surveyor in open cut coal mining operations;
  • Strong knowledge of surveying principles;
  • Really good interpersonal skills including strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Associate degree of spatial science (surveying) or similar will be highly regarded; and
  • Experience using Vulcan software for volume calculations is essential.
  • High level skills in Microsoft Office, Oracle, Trimble GPS & Total Station, I-Site Scanners and I-Site Studio software would be an advantage.
 
Candidates must have the right to live and work in Australia.
 
There is an excellent remuneration package available to the successful candidate.
