Senior Document Controller

Position Summary:

Required functional outputs

  • Conducts audits in accordance with company, national and international Safety standards
  • Compiles Management review and audit reports
  • Ensures that Safety and Health improvement plans and other relevant programs and processes for service providers are implemented, thereby ensuring that SH&E strategies and related initiatives are embedded.
  • Ensures the implementation and maintenance of occupational safety and relevant SH&E policies, processes, practices and standards for service providers that will ensure a safe work environment in line with company, national and international best practices
  • Updates and maintains statistical databases on service provider’s profiles
  • Evaluates monthly safety and health statistics regarding company service providers provided by Business Units
  • Assists in incident / accident investigations involving Service Providers affecting the grading

Job Requirements:

Qualifications and expertise required

  • HND/T4, B Tech or BSc Engineering (Instrument/Electrical, Civil/ Mechanical, Process/Transport environments) (Wish)
  • Hazards Identification & Risk Assessment, Accident Investigation (Wish)
  • SH&E legislation (OHSAS 18001, Mining Health and Safety Act) (Wish)
  • OHSAS 18001 Lead auditor or IRCA CAP Auditor (Must)

Specific experience required

  • At least 3 years’ Technical/Engineering experience in an Industrial/Mining environment
  • Thorough knowledge of one or more of the following specialist areas: Instrument/Electrical, Civil/ Mechanical, Process/Transport, Safety
