Mechanical Systems Estimator/BIM Manager
Responsibilities
- [Company] is looking for a full-time Mechanical Systems Estimator for our Austin, Texas office. We are looking for someone who is passionate about preconstruction and wants to make estimating their career. This position will support estimates ranging from 5 to 50 million dollars for commercial building and marine structure projects. The candidate must have a strong understanding of Building Information Modeling and experience managing the BIM process on multiple projects.
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of Estimating experience required (with at least 2 years as lead estimator)
- Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management or related degree
- Vertical construction estimating experience
- Mechanical systems estimating experience
- Experienced with Building Information Modeling and related processes
- Must be experienced in Revit, Navisworks, and other Autodesk software programs
- Detail oriented
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willing to travel (primarily within Central Texas)
- Familiar with both Conceptual and Self-perform estimating
Preferred
- Experience estimating marine structures
- Experience with electrical & plumbing estimating
- LEED AP accreditation
- BIM-CM certification
- CPE - Certified Professional Estimator
