Digital Marketing Leader
Position Summary
- The Digital Marketing Leader will work as an integral part of the Global Sales & Marketing organization. This leader will work proactively to develop and oversee the digital marketing strategy to ensure ensuring customer-facing interactive media are effectively developed to meet core marketing objectives and comply with brand guidelines.
- In addition, the Digital Marketing Leader will collaborate with Marketing peers and stakeholders to effectively determine and communicate multi-year, multi-phase initiatives geared to: increase qualified lead opportunities, elevate brand awareness, optimize search engine performance, leverage viral lead acquisition, and utilize the web to support customer experience and retention.
- In addition, this role is responsible for identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives for online user experience and electronic tools.
- Identify and drive strategic direction:
- Maintain a user-focused mindset to identify, prioritize and lead the execution of online initiatives.
- Understand how to apply technology, content and community to drive sales.
- As part of the Global Marketing & Communications Organization, work in partnership with Regional Marketing, Sales, Channels, Sales Operations, Business Units and IT leadership to establish sales enablement program priorities and project plans.
- Understand and apply leading practices in: Interactive Marketing, Web Content Management, Web Analytics, Web Usability, Search Engine Optimization, Search Engine Marketing and collaborate with Marketing peers around Social Media and Communications.
- Lead a team of departmental managers focused on User Experience & Development, SEO/SEM, Mobility & Apps and Online Selection Tools.
- Drive decision making on business and technology issues that impact the complex global organization.
- Lead the team to determine, capture and document the Digital Marketing governance models. Also, benchmark against other companies their governance models so we can continually improve.
- Work in partnership with external consultants and agencies to optimize the value of digital marketing efforts.
- Develop and drive the deployment and change management process to ensure successful, sustainable implementation and adoption.
- Measure and communicate the results of digital marketing initiatives to internal stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or Information Technology is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Digital Marketing and Communications.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role in a global company.
- Experience in business-to-business marketing, with direct and channel-based market access models
- Budget management experience.
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of digital trends and innate passion to continually stay ahead of the curve on the ever-evolving digital space.
- Fully knowledgeable of digital advertising best practices, processes, SEO, analytics and related trends.
- Deep understanding of website and mobile site technical functionalities.
- Keen “creative eye” with ability to quickly asses numerous creative concepts and provide clear strategic direction to agency partners and outside vendors.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to simplify complex concepts in order to quickly gain alignment from and simultaneously influence numerous individuals with diverse work styles.
- Excellent people and leadership skills that require building respected and productive relationships with cross-functional team members, leaders, peers and agency partners.
- Thrive in fast-paced environment with ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects with minimal supervision.
- Highly detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to coach multiple direct report(s), provide strategic guidance, and be a solid team player.
