Job Description
- [Company] Minnesota Ore Operations includes two iron ore mines in Northern MN (Minntac in Mt. Iron and Keetac in Keewatin) and has the following vacancy at the Minntac facility:
- The position requires previous experience working for U. S. Steel in a supervisory position for two or more years and a related engineering degree. The successful candidate must be an independent individual with the ability to successfully coordinate special projects to be completed in the required timeline.
- The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, coordinating efforts to design, engineer, and verify the adequacy of new guarding in the Concentrator. This effort will require the candidate to make recommendations and work closely with plant personnel and outside vendors to ensure fabrication work is completed within the designated timeline and specified criteria. The temporary position is also responsible for overseeing contractors charged with the installation of the fabricated guarding. Other short term projects may be assigned as dictated by the needs of the operation.
- All successful candidates are subject to background checks, pre-employment physical examinations, and drug and alcohol screening.
