Job Description
- At [Company], our Quality Assurance personnel work closely with our manufacturing facility leaders and customers to improve our processes, develop new products and advance the capabilities of our production facilities. Our Quality Assurance group support the manufacturing of reliable products to meet our customers’ requirements and expectations, and anticipate their continuous improvement needs.
The responsibilities of the Management Associate-Quality Assurance include the following:
- Assists with the management and maintenance of the quality systems critical to ISO/QS 9000 and API certifications;
- Assists with the formulation and maintenance of quality control standards and objectives;
- Collaborates with research and process technology engineers to investigate and propose solutions to internal/external customer quality issues;
- Assists with the creation and implementation of inspection criteria and procedures;
- Conducts inspections for quality control and categorizes data for analysis;
- Partners with manufacturing managers on continuous improvement teams to develop optimization plans that improve productivity and technical reliability; and
- Assists with developing and conducting quality-control training.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical or metallurgical engineering or a closely related field
- No work experience required
- Through formal and on-the-job training related to individual assignments, Management Associates build business and management skills and develop a network of colleagues and mentors. Over time, they gain specific knowledge of the steel manufacturing process which prepares them for other roles within [Company].
