Job Description:
- Aerotek CE has an immediate need for an Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator for an industry leading manufacturing company.
Job Description:
The EHS Coordinator will be responsible for the following:
- Machine Safeguarding
- Must be familiar with majority of the following machines:
- Punch press, injection molding, rubber extruder, rubber calendar, plastics extruder, etc.
- Coordinate projects and assignments related to occupational safety and health.
- Responsible for performing internal safety audits and corporate safety audits.
- Train all levels of employees on safety
- Make sure that both facilities are compliant with corporate safety alerts
- Perform ergonomic studies and implement corrective action plans.
- Develop, coordinate and implement the facilities industrial hygiene program.
- Conduct routine surveys to determine the nature and extent of unsafe work practices and recommend corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree
- 5+ yrs. experience in an EHS role
- Willingness to travel between plants
- Strong background in a manufacturing environment
- Audit Experience
- Machine Safeguarding experience
- Industrial hygiene and workplace ergonomic evaluation experience
