Senior HSE Advisor

Salary: £50000 - £60000 per annum
Location: London


In delivering engineering, procurement and construction management services, our client possesses the versatility and flexibility to serve as the sole supplier, member of a joint venture, a subcontractor or contract services locally.

Core Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership with regard to the continuing development of the UK's HSE culture, working closely with and influencing UK office and project teams.
• Champion the implementation and ongoing maintenance of OneWay in particular Element 3 - Caring for our People & the Environment and Element 11 Incident & Behaviour Analysis
• Support UK based projects and offices as required, especially where there are no dedicated HSE professionals on site
• Develop and review HSE Plans, processes and tools
• Complete HSE Audits
• Assist with and where necessary lead incident investigations
• Facilitate implementation of HSE processes and initiatives by - regularly visiting UK locations and projects; Coaching line management, location and project staff; providing training materials and delivery
• Advise on emerging HSE issues, legislation and challenges and communicate these to the business
• Provide HSE performance reports and data and feedback to the business
• Assist with business development activities including proposals, tender documentation and assessments

Requirements

The following experiences and qualifications would be preferred:
• Relevant HSE related Degree or diploma; or equivalent
• Vast number of years experience in HSE management roles with a significant proportion gained from oil & gas. Mining and infrastructure also useful.
• Significant working knowledge of UK legislation, especially CDM Regulations

Other requirements: Occasional Travel within the UK will be required. Some overseas travel may be required.
