This organisation is internationally recognised operator in mining and heavy industrial projects.  Due to continued growth, an opportunity now exists for an experienced Safety Superintendent to join their successful team of professionals. This is an exciting opportunity to progress your career and work alongside major players in the mining and resources sector.


The primary objective of the role is to positively promote a safety culture from a management level through to site works. You will possess excellence in leadership skill and an ability to build and maintain relationships across a diverse range of groups. 


Experience in similar level positions within the coal industry is essential. Experience in underground coal operation will be highly regarded.  Recent roles will have provided the opportunity to demonstrate skills in interpersonal communication, risk management, incident and accident investigation.

Key Responsibilities for this role include though are not limited to: 
1. Maintaining and monitoring safety programs for site staff and ensuring the safety of all staff. 
2. Providing HSE expertise, directing and supervising the HSE team, supporting and mentoring HSE Coordinators. 
3. Developing and implementing HSE policies and procedure in compliance with Occupational Health & Safety legislation and client requirements 
4. Working with Senior Management on strategic planning and development of safety programs. 
5. Ensuring that all personnel are compliance and arranging audits
6. Analyzing safety reports and statistics, and providing recommendations for improvement.
 
As a minimum, you will hold minimum Diploma OHS, Cert IV Training and Assessment, S1;S2;S3 and G2;G3.
