Exploration Project Manager

The Exploration Project Manager will provide technical leadership on preparatory work on drill sites, mobilize drill contractors and commence exploration drilling

Minimum Requirements

• Experience and Skill Set Requirements
• A degree in Geology and will be a registered professional geologist with a minimum of 10 years of experience in mineral exploration and project management   
• Competence in managing project work on time and within budget
• Demonstrated ability to provide organizational and logistical direction
• Experience in management of drilling programs and contractors
• Computer literacy in spreadsheet and databases and GIS software
• Self-motivated and results driven

Project Duration : 2 yrs / until project completion

Industry : Mining exploration / extraction

Job Profile

• The Exploration Manager must have the ability to identify all on site exploration requirements and be able to effectively manage an exploration camp including supply and logistical requirements
• This will include acquiring resources, overseeing drill geologists and database personnel and tracking progress to deliver projects according to the plan
• Ensuring the drilling programs meet all targets from both a production and safety perspective
• Self-motivated, ambitious and resilient with a history of success managing new exploration projects
