Employee Engagement Manager
Position Summary
- It’s a rare and very special employee engagement professional that has an opportunity to join an Internal Communications team that’s focused on building organization and leadership capability, and knows its role in improving company performance.
- Internal Communications at [Company] is evolving from ‘good’ (a traditional internal communications team that supports leaders and delivers information to employees) to ‘great’ (a strategic communications team that operates as a ‘center of excellence’ to provide counsel and implement communications that address critical areas of the business and business priorities, build ambassadors, drive action and accelerate performance).
- This position will be primarily responsible for managing the global employee engagement process, working collaboratively with managers, leaders and change teams to create lasting culture change. The ideal candidate is someone who excels in a performance-based culture, experienced in employee engagement or business-focused communications and project management.
- Ability to articulate and champion the key business drivers and [Company] of employee engagement.
- Ability to think critically to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic human resources modeling, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources.

- Creates and implements an annual, comprehensive employee engagement multi-year roadmap and annual strategy.
- Working with internal project team and vendor, lead the implementation of formal employee engagement survey or pulse survey to determine timeline, requirement and deliverables; keep project on track.
- Create ways to gather employee feedback including focus groups to complement employee engagement surveys; provide meeting recaps to local management along with recommendations for action and follow-up.
- Creates and owns employee engagement message framework and aligned content, collateral, events and platforms. Acts as the single point of contact to tie our engagement plans together to create a clear and compelling story for our employees.
- Develops and/or edit tools, training materials, and resources to help managers and leaders successfully carry out action plans.
- Identify issues and barriers; provide solutions related to employee engagement, involving the leaders in the Way Forward Team as needed to make progress.
- Work with cross-functional or change teams to identify unique customer/business/region needs while balancing the overall purpose and business requirements of the employee engagement strategy.
- Sustains employee engagement program momentum through reliable, timely, consistent and frequent progress updates and follow-up communications.
- Create and maintain global processes that document and support the use of our current technology and methodology for measuring engagement.
- Drives continuous improvement by assessing effectiveness and reach of messaging/communications programs/campaign; recommends further direction based on key learning.
- Champions and drives adoption of innovative employee involvement techniques and tools, such as blogs, communities, social media practices, etc.
- Provide expertise with interpretation and analysis of employee feedback data.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in a variety of Human Resources functions (i.e. employee engagement management, HR generalist, employee relations, project management, and/or business-focused employee communications).
