Our client is a world leading provider of production & reservoir enhancement and management services for the petroleum industry including patented & proprietary products & services. This enables clients to optimize reservoir performance and maximize hydrocarbon recovery. With over 50 offices in all major oil-producing places in the world, they provide its services to major, national and independent oil companies.

Due to growth and expansion in Canada, our client is looking to add several technical professionals to its Calgary based team including:

Development Geologist / Petrologist - Shale / Tight Gas

Intermediate to Senior

The Geologist / Petrologist will work with both clients and internal technical professional staff on various technical projects including development in shale / tight gas, fracturing & stimulations.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidates will have many of the following attributes:

  • Relevant B. Sc degree(s) - a Masters or Ph.D. would be an asset
  • P. Geol. designated or eligible
  • 8 plus years of progressive geology & petrology skills & experience including some solid development focus geology with fracturing &/or stimulations experience ideally some in shale / tight gas domestically &/or internationally
  • Strong core description skills and experience including petrology, petrography &/or sedimentology focused - geomechanical &/or geochemical skills and experience would be an asset
  • Ability to work effectively within multi-discipline team environment including other geologists, petrophysicists & engineers
  • Good communications skills - verbal & written
