Lead Process Engineer

Our client is a leader in the engineering, project and business consulting for the mining and infrastructure industries. They are looking for a Lead Process Engineer for their Mississauga location.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for the design of Process  Systems for heavy fuel / thermal power plant for  EPC projects
• Supervise of Process engineers. Provide project supervision, technical direction, training and peer reviews of other technical personnel
• Interface with other disciplines and  internal departments, customers, subcontractors, and the German head office
• Review tender / contract requirements and devise solutions and proposals
• Develop Process Flow Diagrams, P&I Diagrams, and major equipment specifications
• Participate in and lead Design Review Meetings
• Responsible for equipment sizing, materials selection, pipe sizing, piping stress analysis, HVAC  and Fire Fighting systems
• Complete heat balance calculations
• Complete Sound Pressure Level calculations
• Prepare Specification and Datasheets for Process Systems Design
• Tabulate technical bid evaluation and approvals

Job Requirements

• Engineering Degree from a recognized institution in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
• Membership in PEO or eligibility for membership
• Minimum 15 years experience in industrial process plants design with at least 10 year in management at both project and department levels
• Experience with heavy fuel / thermal power plant projects
• Knowledge of European and North American norms and standards
• Experience with international projects
• Ability to travel internationally as required (10%)

Remuneration

• Base salary depending on experience.
