Financial Manager

Purpose of the role:

• To provide an effective and efficient financial management, IT operations and supply chain service to company operation and Board of Directors, in accordance to international financial standards, best practices and internal and external stakeholders

Minimum Requirements

• Chartered Accountant (CA); Chartered Management Accountant (CMA); either of these with 5 years relevant experience or B Comm degree (Honours) in Financial Management, or B Compt degree either of these with 10 years relevant experience

Advantageous:

• Chartered Accountant (CA); Chartered Management Accountant (CMA);
• At least 10 years’ experience in financial management of which at least 5 years must be at a managerial level; and in the mining environment (would be beneficial, however not a requirement) 

The above experience should include the following:

•  At least 1 year practical experience in treasury and cash management
• At least 2 years experience in budgeting, cost accounting and management accounting
• Practical application of LOM modelling
• Capital investment and evaluation
• General financial analysis
• Good knowledge of RSA tax and Companies ActAt least 4 years experience International accounting standards

Management accounting, financial planning and analysis

Financial accounting

• Manage and continuously improve the Company's financial accounting process, treasury service, compile Financial Management reports and ensure tax compliance and planning according to international best practice, company policy and legislative requirements

Governance

• Management of internal and external auditing, financial legal compliance and financial systems according to legislation, best practice, continuous improvement philosophy, company policy  applying best practices and standards.
• Implementation and adherence to RSA Companies Act, IFRS, Sarbines-Oxley Act, King III.Insurance planning and provision

Management accounting

• Manage sound financial planning, budgeting, cost control and financial outlook for life of mine to ensure sustained profitability,
