Description and Desired Qualifications
- Providing exceptional leadership support for operations and maintenance, logistics and transportation services to NASA and other government and military clients. As Safety Manager (HSE), you will be responsible for safety management for the NASA Project in Huntsville, AL. Each day you will serve on a multi-discipline, highly interactive and coordinated team managing projects. The Safety Manager develops and implements site specific safety programs to prevent or correct unsafe environmental working conditions, utilizing knowledge of industrial processes, mechanics, engineering, chemistry, psychology, and industrial health and safety laws, and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally.
Our Safety Manager:
- Develops, implements and maintains programs, systems and procedures under senior management direction, and acts as a lead person or technical expert providing functional direction in the application of HSE programs.
- Recommends and implements tactical direction for elements of HSE Program, and recommends improvements in processes, design procedures and safety equipment to minimize hazard levels.
- Must keep fully informed on all existing and proposed changes in OSHA and EPA regulations, protective equipment requirements and permit requirements, and reviews and implements standards promulgated by regulatory authorities.
- Responsible for the most complex technical work in a wide range of HSE disciplines to achieve program compliance.
- Scope of work may include both the consulting and construction business units.
- Must be US Citizen to able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety Engineering or related discipline
- 5 – 7 years of experience
