A leading international E&P organisation has an urgent opportunity for a Senior Geologist to work on UKCS projects. This leading operator has large expansion plans and the position will look at new exploration areas.
Purpose:
- Evaluate assets of the company and competitors using appropriate technologies.
- Identify key technical risks and recommend data acquisition or carry out studies to minimise these.
- Update Regional knowledge to support the above in CNS & WOS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regional projects to aid assessment of potential acquisitions via licence round and farmins.
- Provide technical input to the company's field and exploration drilling and potential farmins.
- Represent the company on technical JV committees, providing technical input.
- Work within multidisciplinary teams within the company as and when necessary for exploration and production projects.
- Determining areas where there is potential value for company growth in subsurface assets.
Education / Experience:
- Good degree (or higher qualification) in geology, geophysics or related science.
- Petrel, SMT, GEOX and GIS software knowledge.
- Extensive experience - this is a Senior role so previous working experience with an operator or consultancy is needed.
