Lead Analyst - Financial Planning
Job Description
- The [Company] Hydraulics facility located in Searcy, AR (45 minutes north of Little Rock) has an opening for a Lead Finance Analyst.
- This is an excellent position for an action-oriented, results-driven individual looking for an opportunity to advance to the next level within[Company] . The position offers a complex financial and manufacturing environment allowing for the selected candidate to expand their knowledge of cost management, build organizational capacity with a group having varied experience and tenures, and work closely on decision making with staff-level managers at the plant and beyond. Incumbent was promoted to small plant controller.
- The Lead Analyst reports to the Controller.
Responsibilities may include the following:
- Coordinate the annual profit and strategic plans
- Complete monthly forecasting and reporting of financials
- Ensure MRP system integrity for cost, overhead, BOM, and routing
- Maintain SOX compliance, as required
- Participate in the development of and implementation of cost savings projects
- Facilitate month-end closing and complete account reconciliations. Also perform financial statement review as well as prepare and post journal entries
- Prepare, analyze, and investigate account variances and make recommendations for corrective actions
- Manage and champion ad hoc projects as needed
- Provide data analysis and recommend courses of action for management staff
- Mentor and provide guidance and direction to other accountants / analysts inside and outside of the plant
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements):
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or Accounting from an accredited institution is required.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting/financial analysis is required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Position Criteria:
- Formal academic accounting background, cost accounting know-how, and supervisory ability.
- Working knowledge of plant operations and basic data processing systems, and the application of judgment in evaluating and reporting data
- Divisional accounting procedures and company practices with the ability to use variations in methods and techniques to acquire the needed results
- Knowledge and understanding of Cost Accounting Standards & Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems
- Interpersonal and communication skills to motivate management personnel to conform with plans, procedures, and other operating controls
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with plant staff
- Working Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and working ability in all Microsoft Office Professional Suite software
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or Accounting
- ERP Experience
- Khalix or Hyperion for Windows and Excel experience
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Access
