Job Description
- This position will be based at corporate headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA and will report to the General Manager, Human Resources North American Operations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provide HR Leadership and expertise to SVP – Europe & Global Operations Services including the Business Leaders in the Safety & Industrial Hygiene, and Engineering and Technology Business Units.
- Work with Business Leaders to ensure there is a rigorous, effective performance management process for employees across the business, including production/metric reviews, performance feedback and performance improvement plans.
- Facilitate & execute the strategic and operational implementation of Organization and Talent Development initiatives for the client group, including Strategic Workforce Planning, Talent & Performance Assessments, Succession Planning, Mentoring Programs, etc.
- Work with Business Leaders to develop high potential employees to secure a pipeline of future Managers, Directors and General Managers.
- Lead & facilitate change efforts, organization restructuring, & seek out ways to increase Organizational Effectiveness within the client’s organization.
- Oversee/manage all aspects of employee relations, policy administration, and communications for the client group(s).
- Ensure the effective delivery of HR Core processes including recruitment/selection, performance management, reward and recognition, training, career development, communications, etc.
- Develop strategies to assess employee engagement and analyze retention trends. Work with Client Leaders to develop, communicate, and implement actions to mitigate future issues in the aforementioned areas engagement and/or retention concerns/issues.
Requirements
- 10 – 15 years of progressive HR Experience.
- 7 - 10 years of Labor Relations Experience in a heavily unioned industry including Labor Negotiations preferred
- Prior experience supervising HR staff professionals.
- Understanding of Plant Manufacturing and Engineering processes.
- Demonstrated skills in delivering Core HR Processes such as Performance Management, Succession Planning/Talent Management, Compensation Planning, and Recruiting for Medium to Large Organizations.
- Bachelor’s degree Human Resource Management, Industrial/Labor Relations or Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
- Excellent interpersonal, facilitation and team-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage ambiguity.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Ability to lead and execute in a functional and P&L matrixed environment.
- Able to focus on strategy and execution, able to operate independently.
Desired Qualifications:
- MBA, or MA/MS in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations or Industrial/Organizational Psychology
- 8 plus years of HR Management Level experience with a proven track to deliver results in a complex and fast-paced business environment.
- Manufacturing or Energy Sector experience strongly preferred.
- M&A Integration Experience
- Organization Change Management Experience
- Proficient in HRIS, Oracle, and other HR Applications and systems.
- Strong computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- SHRM Certification
