Position Description
- Enterprise Application Services Analyst – Payroll Specialist
- A HR Support Analyst provides [Company] with production support for its enterprise wide business critical systems. This position focuses on efficiently and effectively addressing service (break-fix), enhancement (new functionality) and small project requests stemming from and relating to [Company] global HCM systems. The analyst must have a strong background in SAP HR (HCM) functionality particularly in Payroll Management. Experience in US Payroll is a must and European Payroll is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Demonstrated proficiency in SAP HR (HCM) payroll functionality particularly in the following:
- Schema and rule maintenance
- Wage type configuration
- US Tax processing and maintenance including BSI and Tax Reporter
- Off cycle processing support
- Understanding of Payroll integration to FI
- Understanding of Payroll integration points with Time and Benefits
- Familiarity with union environments would be helpful
- Familiarity with OSS and with HRSP testing
- Familiarity with European Payroll
- A willingness to broaden one’s knowledge base of SAP processes through on-the-job training, formal/informal education and knowledge transfer
- Experience in configuring and supporting the SAP HCM 5.0 system releases
- Experience with the SAP Portal and its integration to SAP HR processes
- An ability to analyze business requirements and translate those requirements into functional design specifications
- An ability and willingness to train/mentor analyst peers when appropriate
- Manage new service and enhancement tickets
- Manage the service and enhancement backlogs
- Work closely with the various functional groups within TIMET to achieve project success
- Act as a key escalation point for critical problems and customer complaints
- Ensure accurate documentation of incidents is being recorded using the Incident Tracker ticket system
- Identify trends and help to reduce re-occurring incidents
- Monitor tickets for Service Level Adherence responding appropriately
Communication
- Build relationships with customers and strive to understand their problems and needs
- Perform efficient proactive communication across functional groups and throughout the IS organization
- Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Additional Functions
- Provision of ‘out of hours’ support
- Manage small project system enhancements
- Business Services project activity involvement
- Initiate and participate in pro-active support activities with the aim of increasing customer satisfaction levels and reducing re-occurring incidents
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements
- Bachelors Degree preferred in a related field or recognized qualifications in Computer Science, Business or a related discipline; equivalent experience acceptable
- To perform this job successfully, the individual should have at least 4 years of experience supporting the SAP HR software application
- Experience with issue ticket tracking systems is desirable
- Travel – minor travel is required based upon requirement of the issue or project
