Responsibilities:
- We are currently seeking a Data Architect to work in our Harrisburg, PA Headquarters. The Data Architect role is a lead database design role for enterprise solutions development. This position will be primarily supporting state government application development projects and may require limited travel.
Responsibilities will include:
- Work as part of a software development team to develop solutions based on client requirements
- Participate in application requirements and design review meetings
- Support under the direction of senior technical staff, the design of conceptual, logical, and physical database models
- Develop database logic and structures to meet requirements
- Develop and execute data loading scripts
- Attend project status meetings as required
Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science, Geography, GIS, Engineering, Math, Management Information Systems or related field required.
- 3 years of relational database design and coding
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Ability to manage tasks and timelines effectively
Preferred Technical Skills
- Actual database design experience with Oracle or SQL Server
- Actual ETL and data migration scripting experience
- Experience with data profiling, but not mandatory
- Experience with ArcGIS Server/ArcSDE, but not mandatory
