Director of HSE Training and Delivery

• We are currently seeking a Director of HSE Training and Delivery for our corporate headquarters located in downtown Houston, TX.
• This professional will direct the planning and delivery of safety training programs, policies and procedures to ensure the company has a well-trained workforce and that safety training programs remain relevant to changes in the business and regulatory environment. You will also work with the Training Design team to design and develop HSE Training curriculum; work with management to develop strategies for employee skills, knowledge and safety performance improvements; and oversee training centers to ensure the continuing high-quality of training content and delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Managing HSE Trainers and coordinating management of training facilities and equipment
• Evaluating effectiveness and alignment of HSE training programs and facilities, providing recommendations for improvement to maximize return and increasing overall safety and compliance training effectiveness
• Evaluating instructor performance and effectiveness, providing guidance and coaching to ensure effective delivery of HSE training
• Working with HSE leadership and HR Instructional Design in developing HSE curriculum
• Conducting gap analysis between current safety training offerings and business/regulatory needs
• Overseeing relations with HSE Training vendors to ensure appropriate employee participation in outside training programs
• May work with governmental agencies in securing HSE training dollars for future initiatives
• Performing other related duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Training and Development, Safety and Risk Management, Organizational Development, Human Resources Management or a related field of study, or equivalent work
• Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in developing training solutions for multiple locations with a minimum of five (5) years in the top training role with a company of similar size
• Demonstrated experience in and knowledge of delivering safety development training programs
• Proven facilitation and platform training skills
• Service sector operational and safety experience is preferred
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
