Salary: $100,000.00 to $200,000.00 Yearly for 40 hours per week

Education: Completion of university
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Registration as a professional geologist
Experience: 5 years or more

Work Setting: Consulting geology, geophysics or engineering firm
Geology Specialization: Mineral deposits or mining, Sedimentology, Stratigraphy or biostratigraphy, Structural geology or tectonics, Volcanology
Geology Skills: Diamond drill interpretation, Structural analysis, Metallogenic analysis
Geochemistry Skills: Field sampling and preparation, Rock and source analysis, Geochemical data processing, Geochemical data interpretation
Types of Resources: Coal, Ferrous metals, Base metals, Precious metal, Uranium, Industrial non-metallic minerals
Resource Usage and Environmental Studies: Resource appraisal and assessment, Rock mechanics, Slope stability studies
