Senior Environmental Remediation Engineer

Our client is a leading award winning multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm. The firm provides comprehensive solutions in Canada and internationally with a strong focus on environmental, mining, oil and gas and water resources projects.

Due to the success of current projects our client has an immediate requirement for a Senior Environmental Remediation Engineer to take a key position within one of their major divisions in Alberta.

Key Responsibilities:

• The Remediation Engineer will be responsible for project management, report writing, and the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of remediation systems.
• The position will involve some field work within western Canada.
• environmental and social impact assessments and audits;
• environmental management, planning and regulatory compliance;
• environmental site assessment, remediation and reclamation;
• environmental monitoring;
• hydrology and hydrotechnical engineering; and
• overburden characterization and oil sands delineation.
• Client relationship development

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in civil, environmental, or geological engineering or a technical diploma with a specialization in remediation
• Minimum 5-10 years of related experience
• Candidates must posses outstanding organization skills
• Strong technical writing skills are essential
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to maintain and develop strong client relationships
