Technical Buyer

World Leader in heavy duty earthmoving and mining vehicles has an outstanding position for a Technical Buyer.

The successful incumbent must be an organized, focused and hard working individual. The key duties of the successful candidate would be to lead Regional Buying, stock management, Marketing and Promotions to ensure competitive pricing to maximize the profit margins.

Requirements:

  • Matric / Grade 12 certificate
  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical / Production Engineering
  • Must be computer literate with advance skills in Excel and SAP
  • 5 years working experience
  • Choosing most cost effective supplier to manufacture parts
  • Negotiate pricing with local suppliers
  • Substitute casting material with either plate or forgings
  • Generate P/O’s, review acknowledgement letters and enter data on SAP
  • Evaluate quotes from manufactures and forward pricing to sales department
  • Expedite outstanding orders
  • Resolve technical quires from suppliers and sales
  • Person must reside in the Sandton or surrounding area.
