Group Metallurgist

Reporting to: The VP Project Development
 
Position Overview
  • Group Metallurgist will provide support for all metallurgical operations
  • Optimisation and processes at our mining operations
  • Business development and project development across our process plant facilities in Australia
  • Responsible for providing high level technical support
  • Supervision in relation to design and engineering services for metallurgical engineering projects and feasibility studies.
Safety: Ensure an effective risk based safety management systems is implemented and maintained. 
Leadership: Define and implement  career development, succession planning, and creativity, empowerment, coaching and mentoring

Essential:
  • At least 12 years' experience in mining and mineral processing. 
  • Preferably some substantial time spent in gold.
  • Tertiary qualifications in metallurgy engineering or similar
  • Providing technical input into feasibility studies as well as for the development of new projects
  • Supervising preparation of documentation for standards, procedures, safe working practices and project regimes
  • Providing high level technical support for metallurgical
  • Act as a mentor and provide technical development for other metallurgical staff in the organisation
  • Ability to engage and manage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrated management/leadership ability
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Proven track record of safety, environment and quality assurance standards
