Medical Practitioner

A medical Practitioner for a private mining Hospital in Welkom, Free State

Minimum Requirements

  • Candidates should be registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa and possess an MBChB as well as ACLS, APLS and ATLS certificates.
  • A proven track record as a General Practitioner is essential, and should be complemented by trauma/ICU and anaesthetic experience.
  • Diplomas in Emergency Medicine, Anaesthetics/Surgery and/or Occupational Health would be advantageous.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills in English, as well as good interpersonal and relationship-building skills, are essential in order to liaise with all levels of staff.
  • The successful candidate should be prepared to do standby duties and work overtime when required, and will need to be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at a relevant Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre.
