Project Geologist

One of the leading coloured mining company seeks a Project Geologist to design and commission treatment plant to suite the Montepuez Ruby, ore of desired size. Smooth running of the treatment plant adhering to all relevant laws including environmental laws of Mozambique.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum qualifications and experience

Degree in Mineral Processing or equivalent from a recognized institute.
Three to five years of post-qualifying experience gained in similar position preferably with Multinational company
Previous experience in mining projects preferable
Portuguese/English speaking with excellent communications skills (both written and verbally)
Analytical and logical problem solving skills
A good business understanding
Good knowledge of MS office and Advanced excel skill

Job Specification

Key Job description:

Smooth functioning of the test treatment plant.
Recording of relevant data for determination of mass balance of the ore.
Designing and commissioning of a treatment plant taking care of the long term business needs of the company.
Ensure plans and procedures in the plant for optimal recovery of the products.
Ensure desired standards of safety at work place.
Adhere to environmental needs as per law of the land.

Salary & Benefits:

Up to US$40,000 depending upon previous experience
Tax rate in Mozambique is approx 22%
Discretionary Bonus based on performance
