Our client, an oil and gas Super major, is currently seeking candidates for a Seismic Processing Specialist to be a key member of a team processing a large number datasets covering a great diversity of geological & reservoir settings.
The team provides full project management services to the reservoir and exploration teams in the UKCS and Norway. Projects include 3D & 4D processing of towed streamer, OBC and permanent ``Life-of field seismic`` data, with the emphasis strongly on depth processing. The role will include regular interaction with a substantial in-house processing centre maintained by an external contractor. We are looking for talented technical people who integrate well with the other disciplines and can show creativity for innovative use of the latest technology whilst also having practical skills to manage current projects. The ability to undertake hands-on seismic QC and analysis will be regarded favourably.
The successful candidate will report to the Seismic Delivery Manager. The following roles and responsibilities are envisaged:
• Seismic project planning & project management.
• Project management includes tendering, tender analysis, continuous contact with Contractor & Asset team during lifetime of project, quality assurance, maintenance of project schedule & budget, partner liaison etc.
• Hands on processing for QC & analysis purposes.
• Provision of advice and technical support to the Asset geophysicists to enable them to achieve their objectives.
• Liaison with seismic contractors.
• Contractor performance management.
• End-of project lessons learned and documentation.
• Coaching and mentoring within the Processing Team.
You MUST have a relevant University Degree in (Geo)Science, Physics, Mathematics or Engineering and experience of the following:
• Relevant experience in the oil/gas industry,
• Strong written and verbal communication skills,
• Ability to network with other parts of the organization,
• Ability to work with geophysical data,
• Experience in appraisal and development geophysics,
• Significant depth imaging experience,
• 4D experience,
• OBC experience - PP & PS,

It would be advantageous if you also had experience of:
• Seismic analysis and modelling skills,
