Our client, an international Investment Bank is seeking an Associate to join the Metals & Mining Equity Research team. This role will directly support a highly regarded Senior Analyst with an excellent reputation in the market delivering incisive equity research on large cap Mining stocks to a broad range of institutional investors. This role will gain excellent external client exposure and manage internal relationships while the Senior Analyst is marketing.
Responsibilities include:
• Providing in-depth analysis of the industry and publicly-traded companies in the Metals & Mining sector.
• Helping to formulate investment opinions.
• Drafting and writing research reports.
• Liaising external Clients & Investors, Investment Banking and Specialist Sales
Ideal candidates will be Chartered Accountants with an outstanding academic record, gained within quantitative or geology focused subjects, and a proven record of achievement within a leading Accountancy Practice. Previous knowledge of the Mining sector is advantageous but not required. Candidates will display the potential to cover the desk while the Senior Analyst is marketing. Candidates will require excellent communication skills and be comfortable liaising with external clients, M&A and Sales teams.
