[Company] is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Consultant, with significant consulting experience and private-sector client relationships, to join our growing office in Overland Park, KS. You will play a key role in establishing our business in Kansas and other Midwestern and Rocky Mountain states, as well as across North America, while specializing in one of [Company] core practices:

As a senior leader, you will be fully accountable for successfully selling and consulting on a range of environmental projects to build a sustainable business locally, while networking with [Company] global practice teams to share best practices across the industry. This is a partner-track opportunity for a senior-level professional looking to advance their career with a global environmental leader, and make a significant impact on successfully implementing [Company] strategic vision and plan.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic business/action plan, provide leadership, and deliver performance results to expand [Company] client base in Kansas and the Midwestern and Rocky Mountain regions. Serve as a key member of the Rocky Mountain District management team to drive double-digit profitable growth across the district.
- As a senior “seller/doer,” personally win $500,000 to $1 million in new environmental consulting services annually. Identify and develop new opportunities, prepare effective technical proposals, and take active leadership role in developing new business with new and existing clients. Develop and expand client relationships that generate repeat business.
- Develop and manage strategic environmental programs (in your targeted practice area) for a variety of industrial clients with complex technical/regulatory issues. Design and direct large programs/projects and multi-person project teams. Achieve client’s expectations for scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
- Lead, manage performance, hire and retain, inspire and mentor personnel for overall success of practice team.
- Develop a working understanding of [Company] consulting practice areas and actively support cross-selling these services to existing clients. Support the general growth and development of [Company] international practice area within your designated field. Coordinate with [Company] offices in the Americas, Asia-Pacific, and Europe regions.
Requirements:
- BS/MS in engineering (environmental, chemical, civil), environmental science, or related degree.
- 15+ years relevant consulting experience in working with significant industrial clients on environmental consulting engagements.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing successful business growth strategies in Kansas and other Midwestern and Rocky Mountain states.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, and book personal sales of at least $500,000 (net revenue) in new environmental consulting services.
- Recognized technical expertise by and established reputation in the local marketplace.
- Certification in field; PE, RG, CSP, CIH, CHMM, or similar registration highly desirable.
