Geologic Database Manager

TerraLogic Exploration Inc. is a rapidly expanding, full-spectrum exploration consulting company with a diverse and exciting project portfolio. We combine proven exploration techniques with advanced data management to service clients with exploration projects based in B.C., Saskatchewan, the Yukon and the Northwest Territories. 

TerraLogic is based in Cranbrook, B.C., which is centrally located in the province’s Kootenay region. This area attracts lifestyle migrants from around the world, who come for unparalleled access to skiing, snowboarding and snowmobiling opportunities in the winter, and golfing, mountain biking, hiking and fishing in the summer.

We currently have an opening for a permanent, full-time Geologic Data Manager, who would be primarily responsible for:

• Geologic database management and development
•  Aiding in the development of new digital data collection procedures, systems and standards
•  Assisting with the training in the utilization of databases and data collection systems
•  Involved in overseeing data collection for exploration programs in both office and field environments

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
 

• Motivated, innovative and able to multitask and prioritize 
•  Knowledge in database theory and experience in database design
•  Data management experience in mineral exploration (Geology, DDH & Geochemistry)
• Knowledge of industry-related software including MS Access, GeoSoft Target, Downhole Explorer, and ArcGIS
• Geographic Information System knowledge and experience including cartography
•  Experience with mobile apps and hardware, Bluetooth integration including (GPS and external data collectors)
•  Programming and IT experience is an asset
• Geologic field experience in mineral exploration is an asset
•  A degree in Geology or related field is an asset
