Surveyor Mine Open Pit

At your level, with 8-10+ years’ experience, you have been around the traps and back and have a variety of experience across a few UG mines in WA.

Have you considering moving into a contracting role as you would like to just get stuck into the work you love, minus all the BS? Although you prefer the consistency and security a permanent position offers? –  If the answer is YES - then this role WILL be something to consider.

This OP role does not come stamped with a sales pitch; explaining the challenges you will face on site, day in and day out that will ‘enhance and expand’ your skills as a Mine Surveyor.

It also will not position you on a ladder with promises of promotion to a Senior in 24 months, stating if you ‘prove yourself’ which we all know means – inadvertently wearing the brunt of the sites issues and staffing problems, keeping the contractors in line (although it’s not in your job description), revamping the survey control yet again and quite frankly doing more than you signed up for.

What’s wrong with just wanting to put in a good days work, without too much hassle and then head on home after your shift is done

If you are a little tired of hearing this same story then this mine site may be a little more ‘up your alley’.

The Highlights:
  • A  few large pit predicted to have another 6 years LOM
  • 2 Surveyors on at a time, and a flat structure where you each share both the field and office work and end of month duties.
  • The Survey team is entirely ‘in house’ and everyone knows their JD
  • A competent team with a Mine Manager who has been with the company for the last 5 yrs
  • A chance to join a miner who have been in operation nearly a decade and are not shy to pay top of the range to get the right guys on board to compliment the team.

Only qualified Mine Surveyors with recent OP Mine experience in Australia need Apply. Grade 1 Authorization is highly regarded for this role
