With favorable market conditions, coupled with a continuous focus toward best practice in safety and asset management, this firm is now seeking the services of an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support day to day maintenance engineering, but also to deliver asset integrity and reliability improvements across all assets within a what can be considered a world class chemical processing facility.
Job Description
As Asset Engineer, you will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of improved reliability, availability and integrity of all plant and equipment on site. It is expected that this will be achieved through the adoption of strategic maintenance initiatives, innovative thinking in identifying equipment performance enhancements, and the facilitation of operational support functions. In addition, this role will required to display the leadership skills and foresight required to develop and mentor a less experienced engineering team.
The Successful Applicant
To be considered for this role you will meet the following criteria;
- You will have a tertiary qualification in a mechanical engineering discipline.
- You will have a minimum of 7 years experience within a mechanical engineering role within a fully operational chemical, hydrocarbon or mineral processing facility, ideally with a track record in driving short to medium, to long term maintenance activities and strategies.
- You will have a track record in adopting innovative and creative engineering solutions that have resulted in improved levels of efficiency in maintenance methodology. In addition, you will have an intimate knowledge of chemical rotating and processing equipment.
- As you will be joining a world class organisation, you will also have exposure and appreciation for the leading practices in risk and safety management. You will also have a detailed knowledge of Australian safety legislation and industry standards.
- Last but not least, you will possess the interpersonal skills and communication ability required to influence others to embrace change.
