Senior Sediment Remediation Technologist

Description and Desired Qualifications

  • Our Sediment Remediation Technologist careers provide you with the opportunity to design, manage and perform sediment remediation work and serve as a key member helping our clients improve our world one project at a time. You should be a self-motivated professional with a B.S. Degree in Geology, Soil Science or related Engineering degree and have a minimum of 15 years of experience. An M.S. degree in environmental engineering with PE license is preferred with sediment remediation utilizing various in-situ and ex-situ technologies, and project management.

Our Senior Sediment Remediation Technologists:

  • Provide expertise in Feasibility Studies, Remedial Design, and Remedial Action (implementation oversight) for contaminated sediments with clear understanding of risk-based decision process for sediment, soil, and groundwater contamination.
  • Specialize in sediment strategy development and various remedial processes, including removal/environmental dredging and sediment capping.
  • Serve as a project manager in upland and in-water remedial investigations, feasibility studies, and cleanups
  • Serve as an expert with work in in-water permits (Section 10 Rivers and Harbors Act and Clean Water Act Sections 404 and 401 water quality certification) and ensuring permit compliance during construction
  • Well-versed in water quality and sediment regulations
  • Maintain a strong working relationships including negotiation experience with national regulatory agencies such as U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (COE), U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFW), and National Marine Fisheries Services, (NMFS).
  • Maintain strong working relationships with state and regional regulatory agencies
  • Serve as a key member of new business development pursuits

Basic Qualifications

  • Possess a B.S. Degree (MS preferred), in Geology Soil Science or related Engineering degree and have a minimum of 15 years sediment and remediation experience.
