General Summary

• This position is responsible for the preparation of Effective Tax Rate, including modeling and research of income tax accounting implications based on application of GAAP and income tax laws; participates in all area of income tax and tax accounting; responsible for the preparation of consolidated annual and quarterly tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740 (formerly FAS 109 and FIN 48) including tax footnote disclosures for SEC filings; and providing support for tax audits in a manner consistent with Company policies and procedures.

Essential Job Accountabilities

• Responsible for the compliance with ASC 740 (formerly FAS 109 and FIN 48).
• Supervise and mentor staff including hiring, firing and performance evaluation to ensure staff development and department efficiency.
• Monitor changes to GAAP affecting ASC 740
• Identify and implement process improvements as needed
• Manage tax audits to minimize audit assessment
• Manage process improvement plans to ensure full advantage is taken of all resources.
• Develop business relationships both internal and external of the company to ensure tax department alignment with the company's business strategy.
• Assist with the preparation of the corporate income tax returns to maximize tax benefits for the company.
• Responsible for completion of all work flow in area to ensure all deadlines are met.

Education

• Bachelors degree in Accounting
• CPA or MST preferred
• Experience
• 5+ years of income tax accrual experience (ASC 740)
