Coordinator II - Human Resources - West Virginia

Job Description

  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources Department.
  • Provide support in functional areas of the Human Resources Department
  • Compile and maintain personnel records
  • Record and enter employee information, such as personal data, compensation, benefits data, attendance
  • Administer FMLA
  • Coordinate recruiting events
  • Process employment applications and assist in other employment activities
  • Update employee files to provide information for payroll and other uses
  • Examine employee files to answer inquiries and provide information to authorized persons
  • Compile data from personnel records and prepare reports
  • Compile and maintain records for use in employee benefits administration

Required Qualifications

  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within the field of HR
  • Ability to rely upon instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and multi-task to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Access a plus
  • Associate Degree in related area or equivalent experience (4 years in HR) preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Plus 2 years experience in Human Resources or related area
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
