Manager - Supply Chain Management Logistics

Our client is a unique and sustainable Canadian integrated energy company - a leading position in oil sands, with complementary operations in refining and marketing, North American natural gas production and conventional oil production internationally and offshore East Coast Canada.

This job will lead and direct the SCM Major Projects logistics team which is responsible for the transportation of material and equipment to and from operating sites.

Key Accountabilities

• Define annual performance objectives for SCM Major Projects Logistics personnel.
• Ensure all direct reports comply with all company's policies, processes, and procedures
• Drive internal compliance with Logistics policies, procedures, strategies and guidelines on an ongoing basis.
• Ensures all human resources and practices are followed.
• Provides regular and effective performance feedback to the Logistics team.
• Ensure all Logistics team receives the appropriate training to succeed in role.
• Support construction / project schedules.
• Manage both internal full time direct reports as well as contracted resources and ensure alignment and cohesion among all ERP resources.
• Integrate activities of contracted resources with activities of company SCM resources.
• Contributes to recruiting, hiring, and retaining qualified professionals and technicians.
• Ensures people management in accordance to all existing labour relations agreements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in supply chain management with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Oil & Gas, Mining, or Construction industry experience preferred.
• Post secondary business or supply chain degree preferred.
• Leadership and management experience required
• Experience working with a unionized workforce is preferred in locations that operate under labour relations agreements.
• Previous experience in Warehouse operations.
