Mine Planner

A Global Mining Company with projects in Guinea and Liberia is seeking an intermediate level Mine Planner to provide mid-term mine planning for exploration/extraction mining operations. Must be willing to work on a rotational basis of 4 weeks on and 2 weeks off for the duration of the project [ approximately 2 years ].

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mine Engineering or related field and four to seven (5-7) years of experience
  • Project Management experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Project
  • Experience using AutoCAD

Job Specification

Key Responsibilities

  • Review ore bodies to create appropriate mine plans
  • Assist in development and implementation of short-term mine planning projects
  • Work closely with production department to ensure mine plan execution
  • Maintain existing mine plans and prioritize prep work for such plans
  • Other projects and duties as assigned
