Commercial Sales Specialist
Position Summary
- Responsible for sales growth within the district by providing market analysis and lead qualification.
- Collaborate and team with channel sales engineers to implement and measure all channel activities.
- Responsibilities include responding to internal and external customers and providing presales support to identify growth opportunities.
- Perform customer analytics. Analyze data to identify opportunities to increase market share. Generate point of sale/market data analysis to assist in selling process. Use sales data,
- pricing information and account knowledge to assist in strategic account negotiations.
- Conduct Prospect research (such as filtering industrial reports for potential prospects); Generate
- Leads for potential legacy conversions and provide competitive analysis. Prequalification and
- nurture relationship with prospects and target customers.
- Respond to internal and external customer requests to address and resolve inquires and issues.
- Facilitate/and or Train distributors on system tools, processes, procedures and products.
- Collaborate actively with them to improve distributor performance.
- Engage distributors on process improvement and information exchange. Maintain and support channel interaction and relationship in order to drive sales force effectiveness.
- Facilitate the implementation of new product launches and promotional programs through the
- direction of the channel team. Coordination and execution to include Commercial Events, lunch &
- learns, Webinar’s, etc.
- Collaborate effectively with other district sales team members. Train new operations members on processes and system tools. Collaborate with Field Quality Leaders as needed.
- Facility Management – including safety, security, telephone systems, etc.
- Ensure thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures. Appropriately applies policies and procedures in compliance with government laws.
- Policies and procedures include, but not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual
- Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality and environmental), and functional policies published on the [Company] Information Network.
- Trains and motivates subordinates in the importance of full compliance with the letter and
- spirit of such policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of related experience.
- Microsoft Office and email/calendar program proficiency.
- Previous experience in a sales or sales support environment is desired.
- Demonstrates responsiveness and promptness in serving internal customer needs. Increasingly
- attunes oneself to the unique needs of internal and external customers.
- Strives to understand how one’s work contributes to the growth of the company. Seeks clarity around the role one plays in supporting the company’s growth strategies.
- Willingly contributes to group efforts. Willing to lead team/project initiatives within a
- work area.
- Increasingly identifies opportunities to improve processes. Seeks and implements process improvement ideas in primary work area.
- Helps to identify innovative and beneficial uses of technology
- Demonstrates an active interest in business strategies and goals.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline, marketing, business administration or 3 years of related experience.
- SAP experience
- Previous experience in a sales or sales support environment is desired.
