Job Description
- Hydraulics Group is announcing an exciting new opening within its global Filtration Division. Please note that the location is flexable but only candidates that currently reside within the Washington, Montana, British Columbia-Canada and Alberta-Canada region will be considered.
- Recommends to Marketing and Engineering industry specific modifications, technical specifications and special testing capabilities to meet NAFTA recognized standards.
- Develops, analyzes and implements sales recovery plans for core product lines, including evaluation of regional competitors and counter offensive sales tactics.
- Manages sales launch element of new product launch to distributors and direct OEMs.
- Recommends creation of dedicated sales tools, industry specific literature and promotional brochures to improve product sales growth.
- Creates and presents In-field sales training programs dedicated to specific product lines and/or industries throughout the assigned geographic region.
- Conducts key product level presentations to support major customer programs and key account penetration.
- Analyzes and reports product level sales growth performance including coordination of product level sales forecasts.
- Maintains competitor technical, customer and price information required to displace competitive interference and drive sales growth.
- Possess extensive and solid product application expertise in a variety of markets and creates pull through opportunities for hydraulic filtration products. Be a market expert for Filtration in one or more markets.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college required
- Minimum of 5 years of filtration experience in one or more of the following: field technical sales, product line marketing, or engineering required
- Minimum of 2 years of hydraulic fluid filtration experience managing a distribution channel required
- No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographical area of Washington, Montana, British Columbia-Canada and Alberta-Canada will be considered for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 year’s technical application and sales experience in core product groups to a wide range of industries preferred
- Process industry and/or hydraulic fluid filtration experience or Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering Degree from an accredited college preferred
- CFPS (Certified Fluid Power Specialist Certification) from an accredited college preferred
- Ability to sell from a values-based platform
- Knowledgeable with personal computers/software and highly experienced in Microsoft applications
- Basic understanding of technical terms and mechanical or chemical process
- Commercial capabilities to cost custom engineered systems accurately and effectively so margins are understood during the sales process
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Strong negotiations skills
