The Company:
The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions for plant optimisation and industrial controls
The Role:
The Site Manager will form an active part of the project team, and directly control all site related aspects of the project on a GIS Substation in Creyke Beck, near York.
Key duties:
- Health, Safety & Environmental management on site - supported as necessary by in-house and 3rd party HSE practitioners
- Coordination and communication with client's representative, planning supervisor, designers, etc
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Approved City and Guilds or equivalent trade qualification in an Electrical discipline
- YEDL authorisation essential
- Relevant industry experience (i.e. Construction work in the Electrical Supply or Power Generation Industry, etc)
- Good general knowledge of electrical substations
- Good basic knowledge of civil, installation and commissioning activities
- HSE Qualifications
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- TP144 desirable but not essential
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or IOSH Managing Safely with NEBOSH planned)
- HSG47 'Avoiding danger from underground services' desirable
