Project Director – Opencast Mining

Our Client is a rapidly expanding international firm of civil engineering contractors operating throughout the world.
The company operates within a number of diverse areas such as rail, engineering, infrastructure, mining and resource development.

They have a particular need at the moment for a `heavy hitter` to head up a major open cast mining project let under the BDFO form of contract. Some of their projects run into several billion US Dollars in value and are often in remote locations.

The requirement is for a seasoned and highly experienced heavy civils Project Manager who has worked with and fully understands integrated joint venture arrangements involving an alliance between government organisations, specialist consultants, contractors and of course their sub-contractors and suppliers.

A good knowledge of large-scale open cast mining projects is essential and the breadth of experience and maturity needed to control a highly diverse and complex capital project is of paramount importance.
