Environmental Clerk of Works

Salary: £30000 - £35000
Region: Scotland

Our client is a UK recognised, leading environmental consultancy specialising in renewable projects in the North of England and Scotland. They are currently in the market for an Environmental Clerk of Works with both construction and environmental experience to join their Inverness based office.

Main duties of the role will be to provide support to the implementation of large infrastructure and renewable projects (wind farm and hydro developments) in the Scottish Highlands.

In more detail, applicants will be required to ensure that environmental tasks are on schedule to the programme of works, in addition to carrying out initial environmental site visits and environmental site monitoring. This will commonly include carrying out baseline audits, environmental report writing, and maintaining a strong environmental site log, representing progress and assesments of the specific project areas.

Ideal candidates will have exemplary experience in the construction phase of large infrastructure and renewable projects, as well as demonstrable experience in the environmental side, including previous experience in environmental monitoring and EIA. Further to this, candidates will benefit from holding a CSCS qualified membership to the Institute of Clerk of Works and experience developing robust administrative systems.
