Description

  • [Company] is seeking a Senior Geomorphologist/Hydrologist to join our Restoration Engineering and Geomorphology (REG) Group. The REG group is doing a wide range of exciting projects in fluvial, estuarine, and coastal environments throughout the Pacific Northwest and North America. Typical projects include erosion and flood hazards, identification and solutions development, habitat restoration, environmentally sensitive infrastructure protection, and sustainable land management. The REG Group includes geomorphologists, geologists, civil engineers and hydrologists. The group works closely with a wide range other [Company] professionals that includes biologists, ecologists, engineers, chemists, archaeologists and planners located around the United States.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing staff conducting field studies, data reduction and analysis
  • Preparation of reports, proposals and work plans
  • Project and task management
  • Client development
  • Compilation and review of graphs, maps and figures
  • Hydrologic and instream habitat studies
  • Collaboration with other [Company] technical groups

Basic Qualifications:

  • M.S. or Ph.D. degree in geology, physical geography, hydrology, water resource engineering or related field
  • Ten years of relevant professional experience in geomorphology, hydrology, soils science, geology, civil/environmental engineering, and watershed processes
  • Willingness to work in the field at times under strenuous conditions
  • Excellent oral, written and quantitative skills
  • Experience managing large projects
  • Strong business/client orientation
  • Ability to travel periodically between offices
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship

  • Ability to simultaneously work on and manage multiple tasks/projects
