CSA is currently looking to recruit an experienced Senior Metallugist to manage and supervise the metallurgical team. This role is offered on a Monday to Friday roster with a competitive remuneration package.
CSA Mine is a high-grade underground copper mine located in Cobar, Central Western NSW. Employing over 350 people, CSA Mine is now looking for a new member to join the team.
Ore processing at CSA is conventional SAG and regrind milling, copper flotation, and filtration. A key focus within the ore processing department is the production of cemented backfill supplied to the underground operations.
The operation requires an experienced and results-driven Senior Metallurgist. Reporting to the Ore Processing Superintendent, you will be responsible for successful management of all technical aspects of the ore processing operation.
Responsibilities of the role will include:-
* Manage the metallurgical balance process for the department.
* Develop, assess and implement new metallurgical processes to improve ore processing results.
* Coordinating people and equipment to deliver agreed outcomes to ensure plant performance is achieved.
* Manage the day to day performance of the ore processing department ensuring that circuit issues and analysis issues are followed up.
* Assist with the development of budgets and forecasts.
* Complete cost reviews of the department each month.
* Maintain a safe workplace and safe work systems for all team members.
* Ensure that own and ore processing team members behaviour comply with company, legal and ethical standards.
* Ensure that the ore processing manager is well informed on all operational issues.
