The Company
This opportunity is with a Joint Venture partnership between two global business leaders defining and leading the international natural resources market. 
This partnership involves overseeing the construction of several expansion projects simultaneously with current growth plans of over $7billion of capital investment.

The Role: 
Our client are seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to be based on site at Port Hedland for an immediate start. This role is responsible for providing support to administer all contracts on the Project site.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
  • Ensuring compliance with the terms and conditions of Contract
  • Interface with Area Superintendents for all contractual matters and support services;
  • Monitor contractor for compliance with all contract deliverables
  • Managing change and recording and obtaining authorisation in accordance with Project Change Management Procedures.
  • Assist the Area Project Engineer to direct and control the work of contractors to ensure contract and project objectives are achieved or exceeded.
  • Conform to the requirements included in the Project Procedures Manual for communication with contractors and site administration issues.
  • Daily and weekly reporting  
  • Regularly review the current delivery dates of all equipment and report immediately where dates are unsuitable for site progress or deliveries are falling behind schedule.
  • Assist in the preparation of enquiries for additional work
  • Assist with all queries, issues, changes etc. requested by contractors
  • Timely management and close out of variation claims and extension of time claims
  • Co-ordinate negotiations of disputed claims
Ideal Candidates:
  • The ideal tertiary qualifications would be in law, commerce or engineering and previous experience working on EPCM Projects responsible for the management of Contracts and Contractors. 
  • Communication is the key with all levels of personnel and the ability to form and foster collaborative relationships within the business and externally is imperative.
  • It is important to have strong organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure when scheduling manning schedules, preparing reports, implement cost control measures whilst keeping attention to detail. You must have a proven track record in leading a diverse team while havig the skills to train others and manage conflict between contractors and supervisors
