•We are looking for a Metallurgist / Senior Process Metallurgist with Flotation
•With Heavy Medium Plant & Grinding experience
•Permanent role
•Residential Role - (Mount Isa, QLD)
•Roster: (5 – 2 roster for permanent staff)
•Identify process improvement opportunities and then instigate process improvements and cost reduction projects.
•Mentor the metallurgical team of metallurgists and technicians to assist with project initiatives, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of all production reports.
•Manage the operation of an on-site Laboratory including sampling and housekeeping.
•Provide metallurgical support and guidance to operations and maintenance.
•Maintain the Budget recovery model.
•Provide Technical Analysis.
•Met accounting including responsibility for the monthly metallurgical balance.
Essential Selection Criteria:
•At least 5-7 years’ experience in mining and mineral processing
•Tertiary qualifications in metallurgy engineering or similar
•Providing technical input into feasibility studies as well as for the development of new projects
•Supervising preparation of documentation for standards, procedures, safe working practices and project regimes
•A strong focus and adherence to safety, and continuous improvement
•Demonstrated management/leadership ability
•Demonstrated project management skills
•Proven track record of safety, environment and quality assurance standards
•Computer literacy (MS Office applications)
